Iran FM Zarif congratulates Iranians on Persian New Year

Iran Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has congratulated Iranians around the world on the arrival of the Iranian New Year - Nowruz.

Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif posted a brief congratulatory message on his twitter account, sending good wishes to Iranians across the globe on the occasion of Nowruz, which begins on March 21 and marks the Persian New Year.

“Spring is the harbinger of renewal and hope for all,” Zarif wrote, adding that, “May the New Year bring all peace and joy.”

Meanwhile on Saturday, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani also sent separate messages to neighboring states on the occasion of Nowruz, urging all for closer cooperation.

The Persian New Year starts with the beginning of spring in Iran, where people hold ceremonies for the onset of the season.
